Before you write
Can we try it before we pay?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Building the whole auction costs nothing: add the lots, print the codes, put the screen on a projector and run a full rehearsal. You only pay when you want to open the real bidding.
What if the wifi in the hall is bad?
Bidding happens on people’s own phones over mobile data, so the hall’s wifi only matters for the screen you are projecting. Bring a phone as a hotspot for the laptop and you are covered. And if the connection drops for a moment, nothing is lost — the bids are already in.
Can people bid who are not in the room?
Yes. Share the link and they bid from home on the same lots at the same time. You can even put a live video from the room on the page, so they hear the auctioneer while they bid.
Do bidders need to make an account?
No. A name, an e-mail address, one click in that e-mail, and they can bid on everything that evening. No password, no app.
We are not a charity — can we still use it?
Yes. A school, a company, a sports club, a wedding. The tool does not care what the money is for.
Everything from setting up to settling afterwards is in the guide. It is written for someone who has never run an auction before, because that is almost everybody the first time.
